Anna Blundy
Anna Blundy was born in 1970 and went to City of London School for Girls and Westminster School before reading Russian at University College, Oxford. She has lived in Russia three times - as a translator, a blues singer and eventually as Moscow correspondent for The Times. Every Time We Say Goodbye, Anna's memoir of her father, the foreign correspondent David Blundy, was published in 1998 to great critical acclaim. She now lives in London with her husband, Horatio, and their two children, Lev and Hope.
Emma Burstall
Emma Burstall is a freelance writer who works mainly for the Guardian, Independent on Sunday and women's magazines, including Woman and Home and Woman. Educated at St Paul's Girls' School and Cambridge University, where she read English, Emma lives in south-west London with her husband, Kevin Maguire, the award-winning political columnist and broadcaster and associate editor of the Daily Mirror. They have three children.
Hazel Carter
Hazel Carter has spent her life around animals. At the age of four she recalls putting a lead on her cat in an attempt to take it for a walk in the woods next to her idyllic family home in deepest rural Sussex. Realising that cats were not as accomodating as dogs, she switched her allegiance and a life working with animals and training dogs began.
Kimberley Chambers
Kimberley Chambers has been a disc jockey and a street trader and is now a full-time writer. She lives in Romford.
Emma Charles
Emma Charles was born and raised in Edinburgh. She was married in 1978 and her two children were born in 1981 and 1983. In 1999 she was awarded an MSc in philosophy from the University of Edinburgh. She has most recently worked in advocacy for older people, and in higher education. She now lives in Cumbria.
